American jazz musician, composer and saxophone virtuoso Joshua Redman influenced by jazz legends as John Coltrane and Ornette Coleman, as well as such groups as The Beatles, Prince, The Police and Led Zeppelin. He won the Thelonious Monk International Jazz Saxophone Competition in 1991 and received a Grammy nomination for the album Momentum, which he recorded with The Elastic Band. Redman recorded with such greats as Jack DeJohnette, Charlie Haden and Pat Metheny.
